How to Become a Board Member

We are actively searching for new board members. If you live in Pine Plains and are interested in joining the Board of Trustees, please download an application form, fill it out, and drop it off at the library. We look forward to meeting you!

The Pine Plains Free Library Board of Trustees is actively searching for Pine Plains residents who would like to serve their community and become new members of the Board. We invite men and women of all ages to join the Board as it expands library programs and services to meet the growing needs of our community.

Trustees attend monthly meetings, usually held on the third Tuesday at 7 pm in the library, plus additional committee meetings as needed. Prior library knowledge is not necessary and we will be happy to provide training and materials to help you get up and running as a new Board Trustee. All experience is very helpful, and we specifically appreciate those with strengths in law, finance, project management, policies, fundraising, or other non-profit organizations.
