Alexis Tackett

Alexis started working at the Pine Plains Free Library in 2020 as the Assistant to Director Veronica Stork. Alexis then became the Library Director in 2021. She has her Master’s degree in Information Sciences and her Public Librarian’s Professional Certificate from the State of New York. Prior to working at the Pine Plains Library, she worked for the San Antonio Public Library in San Antonio, Texas.

Youth Programmer

Samantha Moffett

Samantha began working for the Pine Plains Free Library in 2021 as the first designated Library Youth Programmer. Samantha has a passion for providing children with fun, creative, and educational programs that they can enjoy. Samantha is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Library Science and long-term hopes to continue her Library journey to become a full-time Children’s Librarian.

Mary Bowen

A Pine Plains native, Mary Bowen has been with the Pine Plains Free Library for over a decade. Mary started volunteering for the Library under Director Margarete Hill when the Library resided in the McGhee building. Mary then became one of the first paid clerks of the Library back in 2008. Mary is passionate about books and the Library, as well as Pine Plains, and loves to serve the community.
